Terms of Service
Plain terms
for a personal gift.
What you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and the rights you keep. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
1. About MO-MO-RA
MO-MO-RA (“MO-MO-RA”, “we”, “us”) is a New Zealand business. These terms apply when you use this website or buy a MO-MO-RA. By using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
2. What MO-MO-RA provides
MO-MO-RA turns your photographs and your own words into a private, interactive gift for one person, which they open through a private link in their web browser. They don’t need an app or an account.
3. Making and previewing a gift
You can make a gift and preview it in full before paying anything. Nothing is charged until you choose to publish. Your draft is kept in your browser while you work, and is lost if you close the tab before publishing.
4. Publishing and payment
When you publish, you pay once through Stripe, our payment provider, and your gift’s private link becomes available after the payment is confirmed. There is no subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms; we never receive your full card details.
Current prices for one gift, in New Zealand dollars and including GST:
- MO-MO-RA — NZ$9.99: up to 5 photographs, and the gift can be opened for 12 months from publishing.
- MO-MO-RA FOREVER — NZ$19.99: up to 12 photographs, no set end date, and a downloadable keepsake PDF.
The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. If a price changes, it won’t affect a gift you’ve already paid for.
Because you can preview your whole gift before paying, we don’t offer refunds if you change your mind after buying. This doesn’t affect your rights under New Zealand consumer law — see “Your consumer rights” below. If something goes wrong with your purchase, contact support@mo-mo-ra.com.
5. What “FOREVER” means
MO-MO-RA FOREVER has no end date: we don’t switch it off after a period of time, and it stays available until you delete it. It is not a promise that the service will operate indefinitely. If MO-MO-RA ever has to close, we will give reasonable notice on this website so you have the chance to save what matters to you, including your keepsake PDF.
6. What you are responsible for
You are responsible for everything you put into a gift. By uploading or writing it, you confirm that:
- you took the photographs, or have the right to use them;
- you have permission to use the names, images and stories of the people in your gift, where that permission is needed;
- your content is lawful and does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, privacy or other rights.
7. The truth contract
MO-MO-RA can help shape your words into a finished story. When it does:
- it may help with wording, but it must not invent memories, facts or experiences that aren’t in what you gave it;
- you see the result in your preview, and you decide whether to publish it.
Please read what you’re publishing. If something isn’t true to what you meant, change it or don’t publish it — the words that go to your recipient are yours.
8. Personalised Song
The Personalised Song comes with MO-MO-RA FOREVER. A MO-MO-RA gift doesn’t include one.
- it sings words you wrote — lyrics you write yourself, or your message, followed by your answers about them if your message is short;
- the music is made only after the payment is confirmed, in the style you choose;
- we make two versions and you choose the one your recipient hears; you can ask for one more, and no more than three are made;
- until you choose, your recipient hears the first version made;
- the music is generated by ElevenLabs, an independent provider;
- you must have the right to submit the words to be sung;
- generated music varies, so we can’t promise an exact musical result, and the provider may not always be available.
9. Private links
- Your gift’s link is not listed anywhere on this site, and the page asks search engines not to index it.
- Anyone who has the link may be able to open the gift.
- You are responsible for who you share it with. Your recipient can pass it on.
10. Editing, taking down, deleting and ending
After you publish, you receive a private manage link. Keep it safe — it is the only way to manage your gift yourself. With it you can:
- edit its words and photos while it is online — the link and any song stay the same, and you are responsible for what you add, as with anything you upload;
- take the gift down, so its link stops opening (nothing is erased), and put it back online later;
- delete it permanently, including its photographs and any song. This cannot be undone.
A MO-MO-RA gift can be opened for 12 months; after that its link shows that the gift has ended, though it stays stored until you delete it. If you lose your manage link, email support@mo-mo-ra.com with your payment receipt.
11. What isn’t allowed
Please don’t use MO-MO-RA to make or share anything that:
- is unlawful, or harasses, threatens, bullies or intimidates anyone;
- includes intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- sexualises or exploits children in any way;
- impersonates someone, or is meant to deceive;
- promotes hatred or violence;
- infringes someone else’s copyright, privacy or other rights.
If we become aware of content like this, we may take the gift down or delete it.
12. Ownership and permission
Your photographs and words remain yours. You give us permission to store them, to adapt them into your gift, to show the gift to anyone with its link, and to send them to the providers we use to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy — only for as long as needed to provide your gift.
The MO-MO-RA website, its Worlds, design, software and brand belong to us. Buying a gift doesn’t transfer any of them to you, but you are welcome to share your gift’s link and your keepsake for personal use.
13. Availability
We work to keep MO-MO-RA running smoothly, but like any online service it can be interrupted — for maintenance, by our providers, or by things outside our control. Gifts open in a modern web browser; we can’t guarantee every older device or browser will display them.
14. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer in New Zealand, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
If something isn’t right with your gift, contact support@mo-mo-ra.com and we’ll work with you to put it right — which may mean fixing it, or a refund where you’re entitled to one.
15. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, and except for rights you have that cannot be excluded, our total responsibility to you in connection with a gift is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable. We aren’t responsible for what happens when a private link is shared by you or by someone you shared it with.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MO-MO-RA changes. We’ll publish the new version here with a new date. Changes don’t affect a gift you have already paid for, unless the law requires it.
17. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand can hear any dispute about them.
Questions about these terms: support@mo-mo-ra.com. Last updated 13 October 2026.
